Sam & Cat is a television show on Nickelodeon that premiered on June 8, 2013, in the USA[1] and ended on July 17, 2014. Forty episodes had been ordered for its first season, which began production in January 2013.[2] Production for the first half of Season 1 ended July 26, 2013.[3] The second part of production ended early due to the show being cancelled, therefore, stopping at 35 episodes total. The pilot episode reintroduces Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande) as they become roommates and start a babysitting business to fund their adventures. Some characters from their original shows iCarly and Victorious guest-starred on episodes. Every episode title began with a hashtag (#).

There is only one season, which was originally planned to have 20 episodes, but on July 11, 2013, Nickelodeon doubled the order to 40 episodes. After a while during a filming hiatus, Sam & Cat was cancelled, leaving only 35 episodes, including one double episode (#TheKillerTunaJump) that can make us count 36 episodes, and one 45 minute-long episode (#SuperPsycho).
