She wanted to adopt a kid, but the kid she wanted was already taken. She got a dog who ran away, so she went at Big & Tall Adoption Agency to get a big baby.

She came to Los Angeles to visit Goomer, having no idea he was a fighter. To prevent her from knowing, Goomer lied saying he was a teacher, but she eventually learned he was lying. Just as Goomer and Dice feared, she was ready to make her son come back home to Louisiana. However, on their way to Goomer's apartment, they encountered a group of thugs that tried to mug her, but Goomer managed to fend them off. When the police came, she immediately took interest in Officer Bell and let Goomer stay.

Officer Bell arrived to arrest the thugs who attempted to mug Mrs. Merr. Mrs. Merr immediately took an interest in him and may have started dating him.
Goomer[]
Goomer is Mrs. Merr's adopted son. She didn't know Goomer was an MMA fighter. When she found out, she told Goomer to pack his bags. But when her purse gets stolen, Goomer defends her and proceeds to defeat the muggers and manages to get her purse back. She then says Goomer can stay in L.A. and still be an MMA fighter.
