Robert "Robbie" Shapiro is a character on Sam & Cat, originally from Victorious. He is portrayed by Matt Bennett.
Biography
Background
Robbie is a student of Hollywood Arts High School, a school specializing in performing arts. His talents are playing guitar and being a ventriloquist, with a puppet named Rex Powers. Along with Jade, he convinced Cat to live with Nona, a driving point of the series.
#TheKillerTunaJump
Robbie is first seen at Apartment 22, after being invited over by Sam Puckett in an act of revenge on Cat for spending time with Freddie. After finding out he was being used by Sam, he was thrilled by the fact that he was useful, and Sam kisses him in an attempt to make Cat even more jealous. Afterwards, Robbie makes friends with Freddie and spends all day with him (which Freddie is unhappy about) and accompanies him to Fisherman's Wharf to see Sam's stunt. Robbie (along with Freddie) falls into the tank of Kansas Razorback Tuna, and is not saved from being bitten by the man-eating fish. After the tuna incident, he is seen recovering in the hospital with Freddie, and asks Cat if just the two of them can go out sometime after his wounds heal, which she accepts.
Personality
Robbie is considered extremely nerdy, shy, and socially awkward, but a good, loyal, and honest friend to his friends.
Relationships
Cat Valentine
(2008-Present: Close Friend, Classmate, Crush)
Cat and Robbie are close friends throughout Victorious. Robbie seems to be more tolerant of Cat's behavior, and Cat seems to be the nicest girl to Robbie. Robbie has proven many times that he likes Cat as more than a friend whilst Cat has shown a few subtle hints that she may like him back, but so far, she has never vocally admitted any feelings for him besides saying, "Don't say that! I like Robbie.." and returning his kiss in One Thousand Berry Balls. In #TheKillerTunaJump, Cat admits she knows Robbie loves her, and Robbie is jealous that she went out with Freddie, also, at the end of the episode, Robbie finally asks Cat out and she accepts, leading to a new relationship in the future.
Freddie Benson
(2014: One sided friendship)
In #TheKillerTunaJump, (although at first disliking Freddie for spending time with Cat, thinking that Freddie might have "fladoodled" with her, and even attempting to punch him twice in the stomach), Robbie decides to become friends with Freddie after finding out they had both been used by Sam and Cat. Even though Freddie seemed to be annoyed by Robbie's behavior, Robbie seems to enjoy being around him, calling him "My new friend Freddie", "Fella", and "Mr. Benson". Robbie even merged their names to form "Frobbie", and singing "I Think You're Swell" to him much to Freddie's annoyance.
